SPEAKERS
Jack Miller, DMD – Practice Transition Consultant, OMNI Practice Group – Jack graduated from the Oregon Health Sciences University’s School of Dentistry in 1995. Following graduation, he purchased a small dental practice and later successfully built a dental office building from the ground up. His extensive experience includes hiring an associate, selling half of the practice to form a partnership, and managing all facets of a growing dental business over 17 years. After retiring early from clinical dentistry due to a health issue affecting his hand and arm, Jack leveraged his deep understanding of practice operations to become a licensed realtor and a dental practice broker. With seven years of experience as a dental practice broker, Jack is excited to continue assisting dental professionals with successful transitions throughout Arizona.
Rod Johnston, MBA, CMA, Owner and Principal Broker, Omni Practice Group – Rod has a vast amount of knowledge, experience, and education in all aspects of business and real estate that provide an incredible value to every medical practice. He has managed, owned, partnered, and consulted with numerous practices throughout the Northwest over the past decade. All have benefited from Rod’s experience in staff management, accounting, marketing, and practice management. Prior to Omni, Rod spent 15 years as Director of Treasury and also Director of Accounting for AT&T Wireless. Rod is a licensed commercial broker and specializes in commercial real estate. He has an MBA from Seattle University, is a Certified Management Accounting, and is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the National Association of Practice Brokers.
Michael Pakula, VP Southwest Region, Bank of America Practice Solutions – For the past 9 years, Michael has specialized in dental practice acquisitions for Bank of America Practice Solutions; specifically managing the SW US market since January 2016. Michael has been involved in over 500 dental office transitions since 2011.
Patrick Stanley, Attorney, Comitz | Stanley – Pat Stanley is a trusted legal advisor and dedicated advocate who works closely with clients to understand their goals and protect their businesses. He is known for balancing strategic, assertive legal representation with practical guidance that helps clients minimize risk and achieve long-term success.
Pat has extensive experience representing healthcare professionals, including dentists, physicians, and other providers, and advises them at every stage of their careers—from starting and managing a practice to transitioning or winding down. His work includes business formation and planning, healthcare transactions and acquisitions, contract negotiation, real estate leasing and purchases, employee and licensing matters, non-compete disputes, practice transitions, and business dissolutions.
Pat earned his law degree cum laude from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and is admitted to practice in Arizona and Florida. He is also admitted to multiple federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and has been admitted pro hac vice in New Mexico, California, and Alaska.
