SPEAKERS:
Rod Johnston, MBA, CMA, Founder & Principal Broker, OMNI Practice Group – Rod’s background in accounting, finance, sales, and real estate makes him one of the most well-rounded practice transition consultants in America. Rod has an MBA from Seattle University and is a Certified Management Accountant. He is also an Accredited Business Appraiser by the Institute of Business Appraisers. Rod’s experience and background includes stints as a financial planner, as Assistant Treasurer and Director of Accounting for AT&T Wireless, and as a Commercial Broker for Keller-Williams and Omni Healthcare Real Estate. Rod started Omni in 2004 with two things in mind; to provide a Nordstrom-like service to help doctors with their transition, and to be an expert resource to medical professionals in the fields we work in. He has developed systems and processes in the brokerage industry that are mimicked and copied throughout the nation. He and his company have transitioned hundreds of practices with great success while maintaining a “win-win” relationship with his clients.
Victor Salant, Practice Transition Consultant, OMNI Practice Group – Victor Salant brings more than 35 years of experience working with small and large animal veterinarians, with deep expertise in business development, relationship management, and practice growth. He has worked closely with practice owners and animal health professionals throughout his career, developing a strong understanding of the veterinary marketplace and the business considerations that shape practice ownership and transition decisions. In addition to his professional work in the veterinary space, Victor is part of the family-run operation at Winding Hill Stables in Northport, New York. That experience has reinforced his appreciation for the commitment, trust, and long-term planning required to build and sustain a successful business.At OMNI Practice Group, Victor works with veterinarians who are buying, selling, or transitioning practices, helping guide them through important decisions with a relationship-driven and practical approach.
Rohit Malhotra, DVM, MBA, Practice Transition Consultant, OMNI Practice Group – Dr. Rohit Malhotra brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across investment banking, human and veterinary healthcare, and mixed-animal clinical practice. He has led organizations with $2M–$200M in operational revenue and has built and worked in a wide range of veterinary settings, including corporate, private, nonprofit, emergency, specialty, general, and ambulatory practices. Drawing on his clinical, business, and ownership experience, Dr. Malhotra helps veterinary practice owners maximize practice value and successfully navigate transitions. He also mentors the next generation of veterinary practice owners and buyers. Dr. Malhotra holds a B.S. in Management and B.A. in Biology from Boston College, along with a DVM/MBA from Colorado State University. He is certified in Exit Planning Advisory and Valuations and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
